Glucosamine is a substance used by the body in the repair and rebuilding of cartilage.  It can help to protect your joints from further damage which is very important in keeping you mobile for as long as possible.  It can also provide some relief from pain and improve mobility although this can take about 8-12 weeks to happen.
The important thing with glucosamine is to get the dose right.  We usually suggest a starting dose of around 3000mg a day to see results, reducing to 1500mg a day for maintenance.  This is because glucosmine will be shared out between all your joints not just those affected at the moment.

NATURES AID CELADRIN 500mg
A brilliant natural anti inflammatory, celadrin also has a lubricating action which can really improve mobility in the joint.  It has been shown also to make the action of glucosamine more effective by helping it to get into the joint. 

We usually suggest an initial dose of 500mg 3 times a day, reducing to 1-2 times a day when results are seen.  This is a quick acting supplement with results usually within 3 weeks - so you should see improvements in your first pot.

NATURES AID ROSEHIP 750mg
This supplement has had a lot of publicity in the last few years.  It helps to relieve pain and stiffness in about 90% of the people who try it according to the research done.  There are many species of rosehip available, so when buying a rosehip product you must make sure you are getting the rosa canina species as this is the one which is rich in the anti-inflammatory substances.

 NATURES AID CHONDROITIN 400mg
Chondroitin has had a lot of publicity for helping with joint health.  The main problem with many products claiming to provide glucosamine and chondroitin together is they often contain as little as 100mg of chondroitin whereas the recommended dose is 400-800mg. 

It is often more economical to take this product separately to ensure you are getting a good dose.
